About

From the late Fall into the early Spring large numbers of Striped Bass begin to work their way into the Tar and Roanoke River systems in preparation for their Spring spawning migration. These fish are hungry, looking to put on weight before making the long run to their spawning grounds at the upper end of the rivers. We target these fish with both fly and light tackle out of our 20' skiff set up specifically for river fishing. This is an excellent time for fly anglers to become proficient in fishing heavy sinking lines- pulling a fish out of 10+ ft of water on a fly rod is a unique experience! We fish the warmest part of the day when the Striped Bass are primarily feeding to ensure the best chance at success. These trips will typically run from 9 am - 3 pm. 2 fly anglers or 3 spin anglers. All gear is provided.

Cancellation Policy

We do require a $200 deposit to be paid per trip. This is a non-refundable deposit except in the event of inclement weather (to be determined by your guide only). If a trip is canceled the deposit may be used towards a future trip.
