Fall Bass Update

Fall is in full swing here in eastern North Carolina.

The leaves are changing, the rivers are running clear and the temperatures are (finally) cooling off. This time of year brings about some of my favorite fishing we see all year. We have been spending our time targeting Largemouth Bass in our coastal river systems. We have spent the past few years decoding the movements and feeding patterns of the fish this time of year and have found it to be the most productive time of year to catch trophy sized Largemouth on the fly.

So far this season has proved to be very productive with many quality fish coming into the boat over the past few weeks. As water temperatures have continued to drop we have seen the fish really turn on. The lack of rain has kept our rivers low and clear- this has made targeting large fish more technical, especially on our smaller rivers. Despite this, some very impressive fish have hit the net this season, and we’re looking forward to many more as the year continues.

Our Bass program will continue throughout the fall and into the winter and the spring months. Don’t let the cooler temperatures deter you from chasing big Largemouth on the fly, we consistently see large fish caught well through January and February.

From November 1st through February 1st we will be offering our half and full day float trips at a discounted rate. Both trips included tackle and drinks for two anglers, and our full day trips include lunch as well. You can check availability and book your trip on our AnyCreek page.

Stay tuned and join our email list for more information about our coming spring Shad & Striper season. We have some fun new trips we are looking forward to offering this coming 2024 season!
